When we have to use Update Run Mode?

Update run is used to update Local Object Repository Objects Description as per the TOM, Checkponits expected values, Active screen images.
But Its not useful for Descriptive Programming.
You can use update run mode when ever you got a new build to execute automation scripts on it.
